Skills you will gain in this workshop:

  • Study and interpret insect anatomy, symmetry, and proportion

  • Use provided templates and visual references to accurately block out complex forms

  • Construct delicate yet structurally sound ceramic sculptures (wings, legs, antennae, and body segments)

  • Build dimensional relief and fine detail using hand-building techniques

  • Refine surface texture and pattern to capture species-specific characteristics

  • Engineer balance and attachment points for fragile elements

  • Develop finishing techniques that enhance realism and visual impact
